National Media Conference 2011 - First day - Inauguration

The first day of the Conference started at 7 AM with a session on Meditation by Sr. B K Usha.  She was giving the techniques of meditation.  She also emphasised on the need for removing negative thoughts from the mind and to fill with the positive thoughts. Such positive thoughts would help to reduce the stress, she added.
The inaugural session started at 10 AM with invocation.  Raja Yogi B K Karuna, Vice Chairman, Media Wing of Brahmakumaris welcomed the augidence.  During his speech, he quoted President Pratibha Patil, who launched the Platinum Jubilee of Brahmakumaris yesterday at Delhi.

Prof Kamal Dixit[National Co-ordinator Society of Media Initiative for values] gave brief introduction about the seminar and mentioned successful campaign of Anna Hazare.Later Ganesh Vndana by Raju Bhai and Group,then


B.K.Omprakash[Chairperson,Media Wing Indore] explained the objective of the conference,to understand oneself and mentioned Dadi Jankiji as source of inspiration to all.


B.K.NIRWAIR [Secretary General,Bramhakumaris] shared nice thaughts in his Adressal he mentioned article in Speeking Tree,Times of India how they have explained exact difference between Spirituality and Politics.And also said Spirituality brings peace and lack of sprituality brings corruption

Irffan Khan [Formar Director Corp Comm HUL,Mumbai] in his addressal he said if we want to save India from everything one has to be strong enough to handle any circumstances.

Rajeev Ranjan Nag [Editor India News] He explained how channels have changed chasing the TRP ratings.He quoted recent example of Indian Prime Minister addressing the media on 2G scam,he said at the same time wellknown actress Rakhi Sawant was addressing the media,some of the channels in order to gain mileage of TRP ratings shifted from PM's press conference to Rakhi Sawant show.

Rajyogini Dr. B.K.Dadi Janakiji
95 year old Dadi Janakiji in her innaugeral address expressed the concern of increase in corruption in all segments.She also expressed the concern that Small things are made big and Big things are made Small by media,now media has to play a positive role in the development of society.Inaugural session ended with B.K Chandrakala proposing vote of thanks.

Two Day Global Conference ends with recommendations on good governance

A two day Global Conference on Good Governance: Media and Communication Strategies concluded on 9th March, with a powerful recommendations to the Government: At the Inaugural Session Honourable Minister for Labour & Employment graced the occasion besides other dignitaries viz. Sri Atluri Subba Rao, President, FAPCCI, Rajayogi, BK Karuna ji, Chief of Multi Media & PR, Dr. CV Narasimha Reddi, Former Director (I&PR) ; Iranian Diplomat Respected Sri Pariyabi Zadeh; Sis. BK Rachel, Former Director, HRAM, London, Sri A.Chandra Sekhar Reddy, Press Secretary to CM, Sri Nagesh Kumar, Editor, the Hindu, Rajayogini BK Kuldeep behnji, Director, Shantisarovar, and others.

The Conference comprised five different sessions focusing on the key topic dealt by eminent personalities like Smt. Santa Sinha, The Megasase Award Winner, Dr. T.Hanuman Choudhuri, Former IT Adviser, Sri Narendra Luther, IAS, Former Chief Secretary to Govt. of AP, Sri K.Srinivasa Reddy, Member, Press Council of India, Sri Yogesh Joshi, President Associated Business Communicators of India, Sri Dilip Kumar, Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Sis. Rachel from London Sri MVVS Murthy, IIS, Dy.Director General of Press Information Bureau, Dr. PJ Sudhakar, Director, Doordarshan etc.

The topics were:

Globalisation and Good Governance: Challenges and opportunities for Corporate India
Corporate Social Responsibility: A road map for reputation management
Changing National Media”: New strategy for Global Public Relations”
Corporate Ethics and Spirituality: Meaningful relations with Stakeholders
India as a Global Player: A Paradigm shift in corporate communication perspective.

At the Valedictory Section, the following recommendations were presented by Dr. CV Narasimha Reddi, Former Director for (Information & Public Relations).

Honourable Minister for IT, Communication, Youth Services & Sports Sri R.Damodar Reddy graced the valediction and complimented the efforts of Global Forum for Public Relations in leading the profession into right direction and he was sure with the intervention and support of an organization like Brahmakumaris this professional forum is going to give excellent benefits to the entire world a new and ideal direction. Sri Parvataneni Updendra, Former Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting greeted the Conference for a great success ahead and shared his views on the role of Public Relations in the world. Others who participated at the valediction were Sri Atluri Subba Rao, President FAPCCI, Rajayogi BK Karuna Bhaiji, Chief of Multi Media & PR, Brahmakumaris, Mount Abu, Rajastan.

Second Anniversary of ezine - Roundtable on Corporate Governance - Gist of discussions

Prime Point Foundation and PR-e-Sense organised a Roundtable discussion on "360 degree Corporate Governance" at Chennai to mark the second anniversary of the ezine. The programme was held on Saturday the 1st March 2008 at Hotel Palmgrove.

Mr N Vittal (Former Cental Vigilance Commissioner of India), Mr T S Krishna Murthy (Former Chief Election Commissioner of India), Dr U Srinivasa Raghavan (Former Chairman of Indian Postal Services Board), Mr Yogesh Joshi (President, Association of Business Communicators of India (ABCI), Mumbai) were the expert panelists. Ranging from management students to Senior level CEOs participated in the discussions and shared their views.

Mr Kiruba Shankar, a well known Indian bloger and podcaster was moderating the discussions in an interesting manner.
Second Anniversary issue of the ezine PR-e-Sense was released by Mr N Vittal and Mr T S Krishna Murthy. This issue carries the exclusive interviews of Dr Abdul Kalam and Dr Y S Rajan, duo of India Vision 2020 document.

Narrendiran, Sakthi, Selvakumar, Veena, Shvetha and Satish who are associated with the ezine almost from the beginning were honoured with mementoes.
